German Riding Pony Breeders Association

REGISTRIES

There are currently three German registries and two American registries that will register German Riding Ponies in the US.  Although these registries have similar breeding goals, they have different histories, requirements, and procedures.  GRPBA has no formal relationship with any registry and only seeks to provide general information and contacts for the good of US GRP breeders.

Weser-Ems Ponies (Pferdestammbuches Weser-Ems e.V. )

Weser-Ems is a well established German registry for  ponies in the Oldenburg region of Germany.  Weser-Ems works together with the German Oldenburg Verband (GOV) and will inspect and brand ponies at GOV inspections throughout the US.

Hannover Ponies (Verband der Pony- und Kleinpferdezüchter Hannover e.V.)

Hannover Pony and Small Horse Association is a well established German registry for ponies in the Hannover region of Germany.  They have no affiliation with the American Hanoverian Association (AHA) and only have one inspection site in the US.

Inspection Schedule: Currently only have one inspection in Illinois yearly

RPSI Ponies

RPSI is the US branch of RPS and inspects ponies at all RPSI inspection sites around the country.
